I decided to create this blog after creating another one dedicated to helping myself in getting oriented with the vastly large acting scene in Los Angeles.
I spent just under a year building my acting craft in my hometown San Francisco, only to be told that I really needed to move to LA to find acting work. My current focus is more on film and television rather than theater.
I don't consider myself to be at the status of a professional actor yet and am definitely still aspiring, but I feel I can still give honest advice to those who are just starting out as I have walked through that path.
I'm not being paid to blog about this or to plug any of the studios or services I have listed on the blog. This is really for your information - hopefully someone out there will find something I have written useful. I haven't left my opinions on the schools yet - but if you would like more info about them, feel free to contact me or leave me a comment as I have taken classes at two of the studios and also audited classes at others. The one studio I purposely omitted had a rude teacher who trash talked the studio where I was taking class at that time. For that purpose, I have chosen to leave her off of the list.
